About Us
Our Beginning
GEMS stands for “Gaddi Education Mission Support” formed by socially conscious community members with prime objective to support and nurture the talented and meritorious students of our community who may otherwise be deprived of right opportunities due to poverty. We started our journey in 2020 following below sequence of events.
- Provide Financial Support to school going students from poor families.
- Finding about the founding Student Ms. Kavita and her family.
- Appealed in Gaddiyali and various other WhatsApp groups.
- Opening joint Bank account in the name of Kavita at the time when countrywide lockdown was imposed due to pendemic.
- A new WhatsApp group was formed named GEMS Family.
- Setting up informal society in name of GEMS.
- Forming a committee for the GEMS constitution and Governing Body.
- Opening Bank Account in the name of GEMS.
- Setting up of GEMS Council WhatsApp group for registered members.
- Selecting 32 meritorious students from poor families to support in education.
- Registering formal non-profit GEMS organization as a Trust at national level.
GEMS is a non-profit organization to support under privileged students in Himachal Pradesh and keep an eye in the future Support.
